Mobility Assistance

Part of Personal Care · $32 an hour

A steady hand, so they can keep moving.

Falls usually happen during ordinary moves: getting out of bed, standing up from the toilet, turning in the kitchen. A caregiver gives a steady hand at those moments and helps your loved one keep walking, because staying active is what keeps them strong.

Why it matters

Falls are common, serious and often preventable.

The CDC is clear that falls are not a normal part of aging. Steady support, a safer home and staying active all lower the risk.

#1cause of injury for adults 65 and older is a fall.

How we do it

Safe, but never smothering.

Keep them moving

Doing too much for someone weakens them. We help them walk and stand on their own as much as they safely can.

Safe techniques

Caregivers help with standing, turning and transfers the safe way, using the equipment your loved one already has.

Out of the house

A wheelchair or walker doesn't have to mean staying in. We help with the car and go along on outings.

Signs it may be time

You might be noticing:

Holding onto furniture or walls to get around

A fall, or a near miss, in the last few months

Trouble getting up from a chair or the toilet

Shuffling, or afraid to walk without help

Bruises they can't explain

Skipping outings because getting there is hard

If you've noticed any of these, a free in-home assessment is a good next step. We'll look at the home, how they get around, and where a steady hand would help most.

Common questions
