Last updated: November 5, 2026
This policy explains what information Troutman Enterprises, LLC, doing business as Caring Companions In-Home Senior Care (“Caring Companions,” “we” or “us”), collects through mo-care.com, our forms, phone calls and text messages, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to families who ask about care, the clients we serve and the people who help them, and caregivers who apply or work with us.
The short version
- We use your information to answer your questions, plan and provide care, and hire and pay caregivers.
- We do not sell your information.
- We never share your mobile number or text message consent with anyone for their marketing.
- Reply STOP to any text to stop texts. Call (417) 234-8494 with any privacy question.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- When you ask about care: your name, phone number, email, address or ZIP code, and what you tell us about the person who needs care, such as who they are to you and the help they need. This includes our contact and referral forms, booking a free in-home assessment, our Care Questionnaire and the Ask Cara chat. We keep Ask Cara chats, and our team may read them to follow up with you.
- When someone becomes a client: the details we need to plan and provide care, such as the client’s address, care needs and routines, health details that affect their care, emergency contacts, the people allowed to receive updates, signed agreements and billing information.
- When a caregiver applies: name, phone, email, ZIP code, experience, availability, references and answers to our screening questions.
- When a caregiver is hired: date of birth, Social Security number, identification documents, tax and direct deposit forms, training records, and the results of required background screening.
- When you call, text or email us: the content of your message and details about the call. Calls to our office are recorded.
- When you share a story or photo with us, such as through Share Your Story, we keep what you send and use it only in the ways you agree to.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our web host records basic technical details when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We also use:
- Our own visit counter, which records the pages viewed and the buttons used, such as phone number taps and finished forms. It uses no cookies and does not record your name or contact details.
- Google Analytics, which uses cookies to help us understand how people find and use our site.
- The Meta (Facebook) Pixel, which uses cookies to measure how well our Facebook and Instagram ads work and to show our ads to people who have visited our site.
- Embedded tools from our service providers, such as our reviews display, booking calendar and some forms, and map tiles on our service area pages. These load from the provider’s own servers.
- Your own browser’s storage, so our planning tools, checklists and journals can keep your progress on your device. If you arrive through a referral partner’s link, we remember the partner’s code on your device for 90 days so we can thank them. Nothing about you is kept with it.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and change your ad choices in your Facebook settings.
How we use your information

- To schedule assessments, plan care, match caregivers and keep visit records.
- To keep the people a client chooses up to date about their care.
- To review applications, check references, complete required background screening and train caregivers.
- To run payroll, withhold and file payroll taxes, and send tax forms.
- To bill for services.
- To send you calls, texts and emails about your inquiry, care, schedules, applications and pay.
- To improve our website and measure our advertising.

When we share information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only as needed to provide services and follow the law:
- Missouri state agencies that license and inspect home care agencies, such as the Department of Health and Senior Services, and the agencies that run required background checks, such as the Family Care Safety Registry.

Health information
We treat information about a client’s health and care as private. We use it only to plan, provide and bill for care, and we share it only with the client, the people the client or their legal representative chooses, and as the law requires.
How we protect information
We limit access to the people on our team who need it to do their jobs. Sensitive details such as Social Security numbers and dates of birth are kept in secured systems and opened only by office staff when needed. No system is perfectly secure, so please call us before sending anything sensitive by regular email.
Your choices
- Ask to see or correct the information we have about you.
- Stop texts at any time by replying STOP, or ask us to stop calls or emails.
- Ask us to delete an inquiry you sent through our website. We keep the records that care, payroll or tax law require us to keep for as long as the law requires.
To make a request, call (417) 234-8494.
Children
Our website and services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information online from children under 13.
