Join Caring Companions' PRN Caregiver Team and earn $18 an hour, with the flexibility to decide when you can help.

You tell us when you're generally available. When we have an opportunity that may fit, we'll text you. Can help? Accept it. Can't help? Decline it. No pressure to accept, and no guilt for declining. There may be times when you can help often and times when you can't help at all. That's the beauty of PRN. But once you accept and are confirmed, we must be able to depend on you.

PRN opportunities may include covering open shifts, being a second set of hands and supporting caregivers in the field.

Note: if you later move to a regular schedule, the ongoing caregiver rate is $16 an hour.

What we are looking for

  • At least a year of paid caregiving experience
  • A driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Able to pass a background check and references

How hiring works

After your interview, you can do the rest from home.

  1. Apply online. About 2 minutes, no uploads. Pick your interview time at the end.
  2. Meet us in person. A 20-minute interview at our Springfield office. We do not do phone interviews.
  3. Offer and paperwork. Fill out your new-hire paperwork online. We run your background check and call your references, at no cost to you.
  4. A 15-minute Orientation Video Call on your phone or computer. We check your ID, set up the AxisCare app with you, and go over your caregiver profile.
  5. Orientation & training. Paid, from home on your phone or computer, in pieces if you like.
