Family Caregiver Emotional Check-In
Seven questions worth asking yourself every week or two. Not to judge how you're doing, but to notice, early, when the weight is growing. Answer honestly; nobody grades this but you.
If you notice more anger, more hopelessness, no sleep, or you don't feel safe, that is a signal to tell someone now: your doctor, a trusted person, or the 988 crisis line (call or text, free, 24/7). Needing help is not a failure.
1. How am I sleeping?
2. Am I eating regularly?
3. When did I last leave the house for myself?
4. Do I feel safe?
5. Am I becoming more angry or hopeless?
6. Who knows how difficult this has become?
7. What is one kind thing I can do for myself this week?
